Ethiopia Showcases Export Products at 9th China International Import Expo
Addis Ababa, November 6, 2026 (ENA)— Ethiopian exporters are featuring products from a range of sectors at the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE), aiming to widen market access, reinforce trade ties, and forge new commercial opportunities in China and beyond.
The country’s participation in the exhibition is being coordinated by the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration.
The annual international trade exhibition, held in Shanghai, brings together exporters, importers and business representatives from around the world to promote international trade and investment.
This year's expo opened on November 5 and will run through November 10, 2026
Ethiopia has been participating in the exhibition for nine consecutive time, with exporters representing various economic sectors.
The Ethiopian pavilion was inaugurated in the presence of representatives of the Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing and participating delegates, according to the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration.
At the Ethiopian pavilion, coffee-tasting programmes and traditional cultural dance performances are attracting visitors and trade representatives, helping promote the country's products while showcasing its rich cultural heritage.
Ethiopian Airlines is also presenting special displays at the pavilion to promote the airline and enhance Ethiopia's image among international visitors, complementing the country's broader efforts to strengthen its global profile.
To facilitate the participation of Ethiopian exporters, the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration is providing professional and technical support to help businesses establish international connections, promote their products and facilitate trade agreements.
The ministry said Ethiopia's participation in the expo is expected to enable exporters to identify new market opportunities, expand their international presence and strengthen existing trade relationships.
