Addis Ababa, October 31, 2026 (ENA) — Tanzanian delegates, who have been in Addis Ababa for experience sharing visit, have described the city’s urban planning, infrastructure development and management efforts as a valuable lesson for other African countries.

The delegates visited Ethiopian capital market institutions, Unity Park and the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum, where they observed the city’s development and historical heritages.

Dorcas Dawido, a member of the delegation, said Addis Ababa’s corridor development projects have made the city more comfortable, clean, and attractive for both residents and visitors.

She commended the city’s advanced infrastructure and organized layout, noting that Ethiopia’s approach to urban management reflects proper planning and systematic implementation.

The delegate further highlighted the city’s green development efforts, saying she would encourage other Tanzanians to visit Ethiopia and learn from its development experience.

Eliad E. Mndeme, a lawyer and legal expert at the Tanzanian Capital Market Tribunal, expressed admiration for Addis Ababa’s transformation, particularly its infrastructure, road networks, and building developments.

He said a walking tour of the city allowed him to observe the improvements in its neighborhoods and urban layout.

Mndeme also noted that the Victory of Adwa demonstrates the resilience and determination of Ethiopians and offers important lessons for Africans.

The other delegate, Elias Mapunda, described Addis Ababa’s urban development and long-term planning as admirable, adding that the Tanzanian government and financial-sector leaders could draw lessons from Ethiopia’s development and business practices.

Mapunda also underscored the role of unity that has been demonstrated throughout Ethiopia’s history and reflected in its present-day society in the country’s growth and development.
