Ethiopia, Vietnam Explore Expanded Bilateral Cooperation

Addis Ababa, September 12, 2026 (ENA) —Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held talks with Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng on the margins of the 18th BRICS Summit, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between Ethiopia and Vietnam.

The two leaders held constructive discussions on ways to deepen the longstanding partnership and explore new areas of mutual cooperation, underscoring the growing ties between Ethiopia and Vietnam.

The meeting took place as Ethiopia continues to strengthen its engagement with emerging economies and broaden strategic partnerships across Asia and beyond.
