Ethiopia Participates in 3rd BRICS Sherpa Meeting in New Delhi

(September 7, 2026, Addis Ababa) — A delegation representing Ethiopia is participating in the third BRICS Sherpa or Sous-Sherpa Meeting, hosted in New Delhi under India’s BRICS Chairship in 2026, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Under the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability,” Ethiopia attaches importance to the strategic deliberations aimed at advancing collective efforts toward a more effective, inclusive, equitable, and balanced international order.

The meeting is expected to advance preparations for the BRICS Leaders’ Declaration, which is scheduled to be adopted at the BRICS Summit in New Delhi on 12–13 September 2026.
