PMO Releases 8th Volume of “Meskerem to Meskerem” on PM Abiy’s Speeches and Messages

Addis Ababa, August 27, 2026 (ENA) — The Office of the Prime Minister has released the eighth volume of “Meskerem to Meskerem,” featuring speeches, messages, and strategic directives delivered by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed from 2017 to 2018 in the Ethiopian Calendar.

Meskerem to Meskerem’ refers to the period from the first month of the Ethiopian Calendar to the beginning of the following new year.

The volume chronicles the Prime Minister’s year-long leadership journey and multifaceted efforts to reconstruct and uplift the nation through key speeches, messages, and strategic directives delivered during the period.

According to a social media post by the Office of the Prime Minister, speeches serve as an enduring record of a people’s identity and a particular era, transcending the time in which they are delivered.

From a leadership perspective, the post added that words are not merely fleeting expressions but can shape thought, influence society, and communicate a nation’s aspirations as well as its leaders’ vision.

The eighth volume is part of the “Meskerem to Meskerem” book series prepared by the Office of the Prime Minister.
