Ethiopia Highlights Digital Transformation at 7th BRICS ICT Working Group Meeting in India

Addis Ababa, August 20, 2026 (ENA) —Ethiopia showcased its digital transformation agenda and the Digital Ethiopia 2030 Strategic Architecture at the 7th BRICS Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Working Group Meeting held in Pune, India.

In a social media, Ethiopian Embassy in New Delhi said Ethiopian delegation presented the country’s efforts to expand digital services, leverage technology to modernize public service delivery and support economic growth.

 

Highlighting the importance of strengthening ICT cooperation among BRICS countries, the delegation showcased key digital solutions, including Fayda Digital ID and MESOB, a one stop digital service platform designed to provide public services through a One Stop Shop approach.

The initiatives were presented as part of Ethiopia’s broader efforts to build an integrated digital ecosystem, improve access to public services and promote innovation driven economic development.

The meeting, held under India’s BRICS Chairship theme, “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability,” brought together representatives of member countries for strategic discussions on ICT cooperation and emerging digital technologies.

 

Ethiopia’s participation underscored its commitment to strengthening digital cooperation with BRICS countries, sharing experiences and advancing inclusive and sustainable digital transformation.
