PM Abiy Launches Rainy Season Volunteer Campaign 

Addis Ababa, June 18, 2026 (ENA) —Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has launched this year's rainy season volunteer campaign in South West Shewa Zone, Goro District, Gurura Village, where 20 homes will be built per our rural corridor initiative design. 

In his message posted on social media, the Prime Minister said, "As the rainy season arrives, the hand of kindness we extend to our people grows longer with it." 

"Today, we officially launched this year's rainy season volunteer campaign in South West Shewa Zone, Goro District, Gurura Village, where 20 homes will be built per our rural corridor initiative design." 

"It is only when we extend a hand to one another that we lift our country together, which is why I urge every Ethiopian to join this effort," he urged.
