“Invest in Ethiopia 2026” Forum Concludes with 13.1 Billion USD Investment Deals Signed

Addis Ababa, March 27, 2026 (ENA) —The “Invest in Ethiopia 2026” Forum has officially concluded with the signing of investment agreements totaling 13.1 billion USD across multiple strategic sectors.

This outcome represents one of the most significant investment achievements for Ethiopia in recent years.

The final signing ceremony featured major commitments in manufacturing, agriculture and agro-processing, energy, construction, and other priority sectors, underscoring broad investor interest in Ethiopia’s economic landscape.

 

In its press release sent to ENA, the Ethiopian Investment Commission revealed that agreements represent a strong vote of confidence in Ethiopia’s growing economy and its long-term development prospects.

The Commission further noted that the newly signed projects are expected to create substantial employment opportunities, enhance foreign exchange earnings, and support technology transfer across key industries.

 

The announcement follows the previous Invest in Ethiopia 2025 Forum, during which investment deals worth 1.6 billion USD dollars were signed.

Officials reported that those projects have since become fully operational and are already contributing to national economic growth.

 

Overall, the forum reinforced Ethiopia’s position as an increasingly attractive investment destination, serving as a key platform for forging new partnerships and strengthening long-term investor engagement.
