President Ramaphosa Arrives in Addis Ababa for AU Summit
Addis Ababa, February 14, 2026 (ENA)—Cyril Ramaphosa, President of South Africa, arrived in Addis Ababa this morning to participate in the 39th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government.
The summit, hosted at the headquarters of the African Union, is scheduled to officially open later today and will bring together African leaders to deliberate on key continental issues.
Upon his arrival at Bole International Airport, President Ramaphosa was warmly received by Shewit Shanka, Ethiopia’s Minister of Culture and Sport.
Also arriving for the summit was Russell Dlamini, Prime Minister of Eswatini, who is expected to join fellow leaders in discussions aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and advancing Africa’s development agenda.
The annual assembly serves as the African Union’s highest decision-making body, addressing peace and security, economic integration, and sustainable development across the continent.
