Libyan President Arrives in Addis Ababa for 39th AU Summit

Addis Ababa, February 13, 2026 (ENA)—President Mohamed Younis Menfi of Libya arrived in Addis Ababa this afternoon to participate in the 39th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.

Upon arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, President Menfi was received by Minister of Peace Mohamed Edris and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ambassador Berhanu Tsegaye.

Heads of state and government from across the continent are gathering in the Ethiopian capital for the high-level summit, which will deliberate on key political and development priorities for Africa.
