Int’l Trade Fair to Take Place in Addis Ababa Next Week

Addis Ababa, January 30, 2026 (ENA) - An international trade fair aimed at promoting Ethiopia’s products and facilitating market linkages will take place at Meskel Square in Addis Ababa from 4th–8th February, 2026.

The 15th Ethio-Chamber International Trade Fair, which is expected to bring together manufacturers, exporters, investors, and industry leaders across multiple sectors, also targets to foster trade partnerships and promote investment opportunities. 

Briefing the media today, Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA) Secretary-General, Kenenisa Lemi said about 50 giant companies from 20 countries are expected to participate at the fair while more than five companies have already shown desire to invest in Ethiopia.

In addition, more than 300 local companies will participate at the international trade fair.

The Secretary-General stressed that the trade fair is pivotal in expanding trade and investment, promoting Ethiopian products and strengthening market linkages, among others.

Domestic Trade Lead Executive Officer at the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration, Liku Beneberu said the trade fair will be instrumental for Ethiopian products to be competitive in the global market.

At a time when Ethiopia is striving to become a member of the World Trade Organization, such platforms have a great contribution to the promotion of the country's products and image building, he added.

For Liku, the trade fair will play a significant role in stimulating the country's trade activities and attracting new foreign investments.

According to the organizers of the trade fair, the international trade fair acts as a gateway for international and domestic stakeholders to showcase products and foster partnerships.
