PM Abiy Holds Talks with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud

Addis Ababa, December 19, 2025 (ENA) —Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held strategic talks this afternoon with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who arrived in Ethiopia for a one-day working visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

In a social media post, Prime Minister Abiy said the discussions built on engagements held over the past year.

“We held a productive working lunch, continuing the discussions held over the past year and building on the progress made in strengthening our bilateral cooperation,” the Prime Minister stated.

He added that the talks focused on advancing shared priorities and reaffirmed both leaders’ commitment to deepening their partnership, promoting regional stability, and supporting ongoing development efforts.
