Prime Minister Abiy Confers with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva

Addis Ababa, November 22, 2025 (ENA) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said that he had constructive discussion with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on global economic trends, economic reform in Ethiopia and opportunities to strengthen our cooperation to support sustainable and inclusive development.

“I would like to express my gratitude to IMF for their long lasting relationship and I would like to say that we are ready to fulfill our common goals,” PM Abiy added.

At the G20 Summit, the premier said he held a constructive bilateral meeting with IMF Managing Director, adding “I appreciate the IMF’s continued partnership and look forward to advancing our shared priorities,”according to Office of the Prime Minister.
