Business Forum Encourages Investment, Trade between Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia: ECCSA Board Member

Addis Ababa, November 20, 2025 (ENA) -- The recent Ethiopia-Saudi Arabia Business Forum is important as it encourages investment between Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia, Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA) Board Member Megabi Taye Leta said.

According to him, the main aim of the forum is to make companies from Saudi Arabia become interested in Ethiopia’s business opportunities.

More companies from both countries have joined this year's meeting than that of last year's, it was learned.

Over 85 companies from Saudi Arabia and 120 from Ethiopia participated in the forum, hoping to improve trade, growth, and sustainable development between the two countries.

The forum has made the point that Ethiopia is a crucial entry point to Africa, trying to make it known as a top place for investment.

For her part, Ethio-Saudi Business Forum Executive Committee Member, Sulfah Anwar Jabarty,  stressed the importance of strengthening relationships and working together for the long term.


 

"Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia have a long history of working together and sharing many values," she said.

According to her, Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 aligns well with Ethiopia’s economic reforms, creating a good chance for partnership.

"We are dedicated to forming a strong partnership that sustainably helps both countries," Jabarty added.

Furthermore, the Executive Committee Member stated that Ethiopia is a country with lots of potential, a young population, and expanding industries and agriculture.

"This investment climate is very promising, and we are here to make sure these opportunities become a reality," she underscored.

The Ethiopia-Saudi Arabia Business Forum held on November 18 attracted a lot of interest in strengthening business relations.
