PM Abiy Hands Over Model Rural Villages in Hadiya and Silte Zones

Addis Ababa, October 10, 2025 (ENA)—Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has sustained the momentum, handing over model rural villages in the Hadiya and Silte zones following successful completions in Halaba and Kembatta.

The Prime Minister has handed over those built in the Hadiya and Silte zones today.

These three-bedroom homes, equipped with biogas facilities for cooking, solar energy, chicken coops, and separate sheds for cattle, stand as symbols of our vision for prosperous rural communities where affordable homesteads are constructed using locally sourced materials, the Prime Minister wrote on social media pages.

“As a society, we may often suffer from an ingrained mentality that says ‘it’s not possible’ whenever a new idea or ambitious project emerges, PM Abiy added.

However, he noted that we must not fall into disbelief or denial of what has already been achieved and made tangible.

Citizens must believe that change is possible and that by directing our resources toward the right priorities, the Prime Minister said, adding we can indeed transform the communities.

 “The work accomplished in the four zones of Central Ethiopia should be replicated across the region, and I count on the regional leadership to realize this grand task,” the Premier said.
