Foreign Visitors Hail Irreecha Festival Uniquely Unforgettable Cultural Experience

Addis Ababa, October 5, 2025 (ENA) -- Foreign visitors who attended the Irreecha Festival described it as a uniquely unforgettable cultural experience.

Participants celebrated in vibrant traditional attire, showcasing cultural values through energetic dances and a variety of songs. The resulting atmosphere was exceptionally colorful and joyful, the visitors told ENA.

Professor Nicell McKeown, a visitor from Ireland, called the festival a "completely unique and unforgettable experience."

 

He was particularly impressed by the brilliance and diversity of the traditional costumes, saying the event was unlike anything he had ever witnessed.

"I was truly fascinated by the scene," he remarked. "The Irreecha Festival clearly demonstrates the richness of Ethiopian culture."

He added that he believes greater efforts should be made to promote the festival globally.

Orna, another foreign attendee who spoke to ENA, also expressed her excitement about the attractive celebration. 

 

She praised the colorful attire, energetic dances, and diverse songs, describing the Irreecha as one of the most impressive and unique cultural celebrations she has seen globally.

The warmth and hospitality of the Ethiopian people made the experience truly memorable, she added.
