Ethiopian Diaspora Actively Participating in Agenda Gathering Process: Nat'l Dialogue Commission

Addis Ababa, September 30, 2025 (ENA)— The National Dialogue Commission stated that Ethiopians residing abroad and foreigners of Ethiopian origin are actively participating in agenda gathering process.

Ethiopian National Dialogue Commissioner Mulugeta Ago told ENA that Ethiopian Diaspora have been actively participating in the historic dialogue process by forwarding their agendas to the commission.

The agenda gathering process is carried out through discussions with Ethiopians residing abroad and foreigners of Ethiopian origin in North America, Canada, Africa, and the Middle East.

According to him, the process will also be convened with the Ethiopian Diaspora living in Europe.

During the agenda gathering process, constructive dialogues have been held with the diaspora both face-to-face and online, the Commissioner pointed out.

He further stated that the process will take place in other parts of the world, citing that they are already presenting their agenda.

Addis Ababa Diaspora Association Board Chairman, Zeleke Gessesse, said opportunity has been created for members of the diaspora to participate in the national dialogue, affirming that the community is already presenting their agendas to the National Dialogue Commission through various platforms.
