Addis Ababa Mayor Extends Best Wishes on Meskel-Demera Holiday

Addis Ababa, September 26, 2025 (ENA) -- Addis Ababa City Mayor Adanech Abiebie extended best wishes to Christian faithful on the celebration of Demera and Meskel, commemorating the finding of the True Cross.

“Wishing everyone celebrating the Finding of the True Cross a day filled with light, joy, and Prosperity, and the spirit of unity! May your Demera bonfire be bright,” the Mayor posted on social media.

She expressed her admiration of the celebrations in Addis Ababa at Meskel Square.
