Kuwait's Crown Prince Meets African Union Chairperson to Strengthen Ties

Addis Ababa, September 26, 2025 (ENA) --- His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, warmly welcomed the Chairperson of the African Union Commission at Kuwait’s Permanent Mission to the UN in New York, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA80).

Their discussions focused on fostering deeper collaboration between Kuwait, Arab nations, and African countries, emphasizing opportunities in trade, infrastructure, energy, and social development.

Kuwait, as a permanent observer at the African Union, remains committed to strengthening these ties.

His Highness highlighted the enduring partnership between Kuwait and Africa, noting the significant and diverse investments made through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), the Kuwait Investment Authority, and the private sector, aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth.

Chairperson Youssouf expressed gratitude for Kuwait’s valuable contributions to Africa and reaffirmed a shared commitment to enhancing & expanding cooperative efforts for the benefit of both regions.
