Hurso Candidate Officers Training School Marks Milestone with Graduation of New Candidate Officers

Addis Ababa, September 21, 2025 (ENA) -- Hurso Candidate Officers Training School at the Ethiopian Ministry of Defense has today graduated new candidate officers. 

The Head of Psychological Development and Public Relations at the school, Lieutenant Colonel Gemechu Assefa, told ENA that the graduate officers are regarded as heroes who have already accomplished numerous feats for the nation's sovereignty in various battlefields.

Throughout their training, the graduates have undergone military leadership and skills training that have enhanced their qualifications to a higher level.

 

The graduates have gained the essential knowledge and skills that will empower them to execute their missions with increased competence and valor.

The graduation ceremony was graced by senior officials from the Defense Ministry, high-ranking army leadership, officers, and the families of the graduates.

 

The Hurso Candidate Officers Training School, which was established 40 years ago, is recognized for producing officers who have valiantly fought for the sovereignty of the nation as well as for the peace and security of its citizens.
