PM Abiy Appoints New Governor of NBE, Head of Gov’t Communication Service

Addis Ababa, September 19, 2025 (ENA) - Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has announced the appointment of a new Governor for the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) and a new Head for the Government Communication Service. 

According to a post by the Office of the Prime Minister on social media today, Dr. Eyobe Tekalign has been appointed as the Governor of the National Bank of Ethiopia.

The post also stated that Enatalem Meles has been appointed as head of the Government Communication Service,   with the rank of minister.
