PM Abiy Inaugurates Entoto to Arat Kilo Plaza Corridor Dev't in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, August 3, 2025 (ENA) -- Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, accompanied by members of the Prosperity Party Central Council, inaugurated this morning the newly developed corridor extending from the base of Entoto to Arat Kilo Plaza, in Addis Ababa.

 

The area has undergone a remarkable transformation, featuring new walkways and bicycle lanes, improved road lighting, and the construction of modern shops—particularly in the Shiro Meda market, a renowned hub for handwoven crafts.

 

The development also includes children’s playgrounds, a large soccer field, and various other public facilities, according to the office of the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Abiy said on a social media post this morning that he has reviewed the entire pathway of the Entoto to Arat Kilo Plaza corridor development together with Prosperity Party Central Council members.

 

“..We have reviewed the entire pathway of the Entoto to Arat Kilo Plaza corridor development that has been completed, unveiling another section of our city rang that has undergone a great transformation,” the Prime Minister stated.
