Affirming the vision to transform the city into a medical tourism hub, she stressed that private sector participation is crucial for its realization.

The Mayor expressed her delight at the rapid completion and inauguration of the Bethesda American Medical Plaza.

Furthermore, the plaza houses Ethiopia's first bone density scanning equipment and will provide advanced medical services within the country.

This is expected to significantly reduce foreign currency outflow currently spent on medical treatments abroad, making it a key contributor to medical tourism.

Mayor Adanech affirmed the government's commitment to continuous support for investors in the medical sector, pledging to "meet halfway" with interested developers.

She also pledged necessary support for the construction of Bethesda American Medical Plaza Phase Two, underscoring Addis Ababa's rapid development.

He also noted that the facility will provide modern, measurable medical care in Ethiopia through telemedicine, artificial intelligence, and remote healthcare.

Ayele emphasized that the plaza will support Ethiopia's healthcare system and expand medical tourism, ultimately reducing the hardships and expenses Ethiopians face when seeking treatment abroad.
