Slovenia's President lays a wreath at Adwa Victory Memorial

Addis Ababa, June 5, 2025 (ENA) -- The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar,  laid a wreath today at the Adwa Victory Memorial in Addis Ababa, honoring the Ethiopian heroes.

Upon her arrival at the memorial, President Pirc Musar was warmly received by Adanech Abiebie, Mayor of the Addis Ababa City Administration.

The President arrived in Addis Ababa yesterday evening in a bid to strengthen bilateral ties between Slovenia and Ethiopia.

 

Following the wreath-laying, President Pirc Musar toured the memorial, which commemorates the Ethiopian heroes of the pivotal Battle of Adwa.

Her visit follows the 3rd Political Consultation Forum held between the two nations in Addis Ababa yesterday, which focused on deepening bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

The forum served as a crucial platform to enhance bilateral relations, identify new areas for collaboration, and develop strategies to boost trade and investment between Slovenia and Ethiopia.

Both nations have expressed a mutual desire to strengthen cooperation and advance shared interests.

President Pirc Musar's visit is anticipated to further enhance collaboration across various sectors, particularly in investment and trade.
