Prime Minister Abiy Confers with Pope Leo XIV in the Vatican   

Addis Ababa, May 26, 2025 (ENA) --- Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed conferred with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican earlier today.

The premier noted on social media post that the discussions focused on both bilateral and multilateral issues, including our shared commitment to global peace.

“Grateful to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV for the warm welcome to the Vatican earlier today,” Abiy said.

The two sides have also agreed on the importance of collaborating to expand access to education.
