ECA, European Union Seeking Advanced Cooperation in Various Spheres

Addis Ababa, May 15, 2025 (ENA)—The Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), Executive Secretary, Claver Gatete and Younous Omarjee, Vice President of the European Parliament and a joint EU delegation.

Talks focused on advancing European Union (EU) - Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) cooperation via value chains, investment, integrated data systems   and modernizing trade infrastructure, particularly ports.

The vice-president of the European Parliament is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for a working visit and he conferred with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion Timothewos yesterday.
