President Joao Lorenzo of Angola Arrives in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, March 12, 2025 (ENA)—President Joao Lorenzo of Angola, who is also current Chairperson of the African Union, has arrived in Addis Ababa.

Upon his arrival at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, the president was warmly welcomed by Ethiopia President of, Taye Atseke Selassie.

Lorenzo will attend the official handing over ceremony between the outgoing and incoming Chairpersons and Commissioners of the African Union Commission tomorrow.

Mohamed Ali Yusuf, who was elected as the Chairperson of the African Union Commission at the 38th African Union Summit, will officially assume office, succeeding Moussa Faki Mahamat, it was learned.
