Ethiopia Marks 129th Anniversary of Adwa Victory  

Addis Ababa, March 2, 2025 (ENA) --- The 129^th anniversary of the Victory of Adwa is being celebrated under the Theme: ‘Adwa: Victory of Black People.’  

The anniversary is being observed at the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum in Addis Ababa in the presence of President Taye Atske Selassie, Speaker of House of Peoples Representative, Tagesse Chafo, Speaker of House of Federation, Agegnehu Teshager, Minister of Defense Aisha Mohammed, Chief of the General Staff of the Ethiopian National Defense Force, Field Marshal Birhanu Jula and The Ethiopian Patriots Association President Lij Daniel Jote Mesfin.

 

The African Union Commission Chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat, Ambassadors of various countries, representatives of international organizations, members of the Ethiopian defense forces among other invited guests are also attending the anniversasry.

The victory of Adwa is a victory for the black people that imparted lessons of heroism, solidarity, and unity to the generation.
