Ethiopia Calls For Unity, Solidarity to Overcome Global Challenges & Unlock Continental Potential 

Addis Ababa, February 12, 2025 (ENA) – At the opening of the 46th Ordinary Session of the African Union Executive Council in Addis Ababa, Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gedion Timotios made a powerful call for African unity and solidarity, emphasizing that the continent’s future depends on collective action to address global challenges and seize emerging opportunities.  

In his address, Minister Timotios highlighted the urgent need for African nations to stand united in the face of rising global turbulence, including climate change, geopolitical rivalries, and technological disruptions. 

He stressed that multilateralism is not just a choice but a necessity for Africa and the Global South, as most challenges require collaborative solutions.
