Second Congress of Prosperity Party Elects Abiy Ahmed as its President

Addis Ababa, February 2, 2025 (ENA)— The second congress of Ethiopia’s ruling Prosperity Party has elected Abiy Ahmed as its President with a significance number of votes.

 

The congress in its third day deliberation today has also elected Temesgen Tiruneh and Adem Farah as Vice Presidents of the Party.

 

The President and the two Vice Presidents took the oath of office before the Congress in accordance with the party's directive.
