Africa’s Giant Prosperity Party Congress Attracting Numerous Foreign Parties Around the World

Addis Ababa January 30/2025 (ENA)—The upcoming regular congress of the Prosperity Party (PP), African biggest party, has been attracting the delegations of foreign parties from around the world.

This second congress for the young ruling party is now drawing significant global attention, boasting a membership of close to 16 million.

Scheduled for January 31st to February 2nd 2025, a number of international sister parties’ representatives and delegates arrived in Addis Ababa last night to attend the highly anticipated congress of PP.

The political parties are from Türkiye, Morocco, Rwanda, and Algeria.

Upon their arrival, those delegations and representatives of the foreign parities were warmly welcomed by Ethiopian high-ranking government officials at Bole international Airport.

In a recent press briefing, Vice President of the Prosperity Party, Adem Farah underscored that the sheer size of the party itself commands global attention.

According to him, PP is one of the world’s top ten political parties, known for inclusivity, fairness, and the integration of indigenous knowledge which are at the heart of the party's ideology.

More importantly, the party has embarked on massive and far-reaching reforms to lead Ethiopia towards an African symbol of prosperity.

The congress is anticipated to evaluate, and assess, draw lessons from previous policy directions as well as success stories. And it will be setting major new initiatives to accelerate holistic national prosperity.

Speaking on the political and diplomatic aspect, Property Party will also deliberate on policies during its congress to enhance national interests, fostering global engagements and relations that would elevate Ethiopia’s stand at the international level.

The congress is expected to be attended by 1,700 PP delegates, as well as leaders from competing parties and representatives from 15 international sister parties.
