Ethiopia’s Foreign Minister Confers with President of Djibouti

Addis Ababa December 29/2024 (ENA) — Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion Timothewos, paid a courtesy call on the President of the Republic of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, today.

Discussions focused on strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two brotherly nations.

The two sides exchanged views on bilateral and continental issues of mutual interest.

They emphasized the importance of joint efforts in addressing the key focus areas highlighted during the recently held 17th Ethio-Djibouti Joint Ministerial Commission meeting.

Discussions also covered ways of boosting cooperation on the maintenance of regional peace and stability.

Ethiopia’s delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion Timothewos is in Djibouti for bilateral talks.

Gedion held talks with Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Djibouti earlier today.
