PM Abiy, President Macron Discuss Range of Bilateral and Multilateral Issues

Addis Ababa December 21/2024 (ENA)—Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and French President Emmanuel Macron have discussed a range of bilateral and multilateral issues.

Upon President Macron’s arrival at Bole International Airport in the early hours of this evening, he was warmly received by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.

In his social media post, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said that “In our bilateral talks with President Emmanuel Macron at the National Palace, we addressed a range of bilateral and multilateral issues.”

 He also expressed his appreciation for President Emmanuel Macron and the French government’s support in the renovation of the National Palace and the ongoing restoration of rock hewn churches of Lalibela.

“During our discussions, we explored potential collaborations in various fields, including increasing French investments, as well as strengthening ties in education and culture.”

I also emphasized the importance of building on our longstanding historical relations, the Premier also wrote on his social media page.

President Emmanuel Macron has also received a warm welcome at the National Palace tonight in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia a few hours ago, it was learned.
