Ethiopia Celebrating 19th Nations, Nationalities & Peoples Day in Arba Minch City
Addis Ababa December 8/2024 (ENA)—The 19th Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Day is being celebrated in Arba Minch city of Southern Ethiopia Regional State.
This year’s event is being celebrated under the theme "National Consensus for Multinational Unity," in the presence of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, other high ranking government officials and invited guests.
Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples Day is an annual occasion dedicated to promoting national unity in Ethiopia.
This event also aims to uphold the principles of equality and solidarity while preserving the national integrity of Ethiopia.
The House of Federation decided the Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ Day to be marked each year on December 8th with the main objective of fostering the appreciation of diverse cultures and values while strengthening the interaction among the various nations and nationalities within the country.
