Ambassador Tibor Hails Peace Deal Signed with Leaders of OLA

Addis Ababa December 6/2024 (ENA) - The Former US Assistant Secretary of State for Africa and US Ambassador to Ethiopia, Tibor Nagy said the recent peace deal signed by Oromia Regional State and leaders of Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) is one more step towards internal stability.
Leaders of OLA accepted government's call for peace and signed a peace agreement with Oromia Regional Government in Addis Ababa last week.
As part of the agreement, members of the OLA operating in various areas are entering the centers prepared for them.
As indicated by ambassador Tibor, the agreement is an important step in the ongoing efforts to bring about internal stability.
The recent signing of a peace deal is one more step towards internal stability. Of course more is needed - but give credit where credit is due, he underscored on his X (former twitter) post.
The peace agreement is being considered by many as a demonstration of Ethiopia’s government strong commitment for peaceful resolution of any problems and that has been bearing fruits.
