AUC, France Agree to Further Bolster Partnership

Addis Ababa November 29/2024 (ENA) The African Union Commission (AUC) and France have agreed to expand their exiting partnership in various field including peace and security.
African Union Commission and France have held high level strategic dialogue in Addis Ababa today.
AUC Chairman Moussa Faki Mahmat, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Jean-Noël Barrot and other senior officials of the two sides have participated at the dialogue.
The high level strategic dialogue exchanged views on strengthening bilateral partnership and multilateral diplomacy.
The two sides have discussed on strengthening cooperation in various fields including peace and security, fighting terrorism, trade and economy, science and technology and energy.
The strategic dialogue aims to further strengthen the partnership between African Union Commission and France.
France has pledged to provide support to various agendas of the African Union, including its institutional reforms.
On the side line of the dialogue, AUC Chairman Moussa Faki Mahmat, and Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France held a bilateral meeting.
