ENA Signs Cooperation agreement with Emirates News Agency

Addis Ababa November 27/2024 (ENA)  The Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) to enhance joint media collaboration in news exchanges.

The agreements were signed by Ethiopian News Agency CEO, Seife Derbie and Executive Director of the News Content Sector at WAM, Jamal Nasser Al Suwaider, in the presence of several officials and media representatives including Ambassdor Oumer Hussein Oba Ethiopia’s Extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador to the UAE.

The signing ceremony took place at the UAE Media Pavilion during the third edition of the Global Media Congress (GMC 2024), which runs until 28th November.

Under the agreements, the two news agencies will exchange daily news, photos, and videos for use and distribution on their platforms and those of their partners.

 

The cooperation agreement aims to foster stronger media cooperation among the signatories by facilitating the exchange of news and media content to achieve shared objectives, in compliance with applicable regulations and laws.

Ethiopian News Agency CEO, Seife Derbie remarked that the agreement underscores the mutual commitment to producing purposeful media content that supports sustainable development in both countries and communicates global achievements through impactful media.

On his part Director-General of the National Media Office and Acting Director-General of WAM, Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi said that these agreements reflect WAM’s dedication to forging international media partnerships with leading global organizations, offering a sustainable media model based on collaboration to support shared media missions.
