Eco Tourism Initiatives of Ethiopia to be Presented at Pakistan Travel Mart 2025
Addis Ababa November 24/2024 (ENA)-The Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad announced that it has been working hard jointly with the Bukhari Group of Pakistan to unlock Ethiopia’s world class tourist destinations during the Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) 2025 scheduled for next year.
In its press release sent to ENA, the embassy said: “We have already joined hands to present Ethiopia’s the world class tourist destinations initiated and developed by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.”
Ethiopian Special Envoy and Ambassador Extraordinary to Pakistan, Jemal Beker discussed all the modalities to this end during a meeting with the top management of the Bukhari Group which has been organizing the international tourism event—PTM every year in Pakistan.
Chairman of the Bukhari Group, Sardar Mohammed Rafiq Khan, Honorary Consul of Ethiopia in Karachi, Ibrahim Khalid Tawab and County Manager Pakistan – Ethiopian Airlines, Yonas Fekade also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Ambassador Jemal highlighted the rich cultural heritage and tourism potential of Ethiopia which has been attracting a large tourist influx from across the world.
He specifically mentioned the world class tourism destinations that were initiated, developed and inaugurated throughout Ethiopia under the Dine for Sheger, Ethiopia and Nations initiatives of Abiy for eco-tourism, mitigating all the needs of tourists, protecting the environment and providing livelihoods to a large number of citizens in Ethiopia.
The Ambassador said the Ethiopian Airlines has been playing an instrumental role in Pakistan’s Look Africa and Engage Africa Policy of Pakistan by connecting it not only with Ethiopia but with all of Africa.
On his part, Chairman of the Bukhari Group, Sardar Mohammed Rafiq Khan assured the Ambassador of promoting Ethiopia’s culture and tourism during the upcoming Travel Mart 2025.
He lauded the services of the Ethiopian Airlines and acknowledged its role in connecting Pakistan with Africa.
