Ethiopia's Ambassador Nebil, Newly Appointed South Sudan Minister Discuss Critical Projects
Addis Ababa, April 4/2024 (ENA) Ethiopia's Ambassador to South Sudan, Nebil Mahdi, and South Sudan Finance and Planning Minister, Wow Daniel Chuang, have discussed about critical infrastructure projects between the two nations.
The officials held a productive meeting focusing on road connectivity and electric infrastructure enhancements, according to the Ethiopian Embassy in Juba.
Throughout the discussions, both parties emphasized the importance of these projects in fostering economic and social development.
The newly appointed Finance and Planning Minister Chuang reassured the ambassador of his commitment to accelerating the processes necessary for the initiation of the anticipated road project that aims to connect the two countries.
Recall that Ethiopia and South Sudan signed an agreement in May 2023 to construct Paloch–Mathiang–Maiwut–Pagak Road, which connects Western Ethiopia with Northeastern South Sudan.
The two sides had also signed agreements to enhance infrastructure development such as electricity, oil pipelines, and others which catalyze regional economic integration.
