Ethiopian, Brazilian Ministers of Agriculture Discuss Ways to Cooperation

Addis Ababa, April 4/2024 (ENA) Ethiopia’s and Brazilian agriculture ministers held discussions that would enable them to work together in the sector.

The Ethiopian delegation, headed by Minister of Agriculture Girma Amente, is currently undertaking a working visit to Brazil, ENA was learnt from the Ministry of Agriculture today. 
 
The minister extensively discussed with his Brazilian counterpart, Paulo Teixeira, Minister of Agricultural Development that enable the two countries to work together in the agricultural sector.
 
The primary objective of the delegation’s visit to the South American nation including Brazil is to acquire insights into the agricultural practices and successful initiatives implemented in the sector.

 
Furthermore, the Ethiopian delegation witnessed the methodologies employed in overcoming production and productivity challenges within the Brazilian agricultural sector, leading to notable advancements in production through the utilization of diverse technological solutions.
 
It also learned that the Brazilian government has succeeded in guaranteeing food security for its people and managed substantial economic transformations through the exportation of agricultural goods.
 
Brazil and Ethiopia have been enjoying longstanding diplomatic ties and sharing membership in the emerging global bloc, BRICS.
