Film Depicting Patriotism, Bravery of Nat'l Defense Force Premiered in Presence of PM Abiy Ahmed

 Addis Ababa, March 23/2024 (ENA)  A film which showcases the patriotism and bravery of the Ethiopian National Defense Force in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty was premiered in the presence of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed today.

Entitled “For the Love of Motherland”, the film was screened at the Adwa Memorial Museum.


 

Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Abiy Ahmed, Chief of Staff Field Marshal Birhanu Jula, Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh, Defense Minister Abraham Belay, regional presidents, ambassadors and military attachés of different countries attended the screening. 

During the occasion, Chief of Staff Field Marshal Birhanu said that the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) documented the law  enforcement operation in the northern part of the country by involving professionals.

In that regard, he pointed out that a book has already been published, and the film is a true story of patriotism.

“For the Love of Motherland” was reportedly premiered at the Pan African Film & Arts Festival (PAFF) in Los Angeles and received certificate of recognition along with other two films.

According to the field marshal, Ethiopia was able to tell its truth through the film at the Pan African Film & Arts Festival (PAFF).

With an estimated 30,000 film extras and cutting-edge special effects, the film was directed by Tewodros Teshome.
