Ethiopia, Tanzania Sign MoUs On Agriculture, Electricity Trade & Cultural Cooperation

Addis Ababa, March 1 /2024 (ENA) Ethiopia and Tanzania signed Memorandum of Understandings ( MoUs) on  agriculture, electricity trade, and cultural cooperation, which are foundational for ongoing and reciprocal development.

Prime Minister Abiy arrived in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania for an official working visit on Thursday.  
The premier was received by Tanzanian President Samia Suhulu today for official talks during his State visit to the East African nation, Office of the Prime Minister revealed.  

The scope of their discussions covered a wide range of bilateral and regional issues with a commitment to multifaceted cooperation.  
 
As one of the key outcomes of today’s engagement, three MoUs were signed on culture and arts; agriculture and electricity trade. 
Prime Minister Abiy said that today’s bilateral meeting is testament to how our historical ties have paved the way for stronger relations in the present.
 
“The MoUs we signed today in agriculture, energy trade, and cultural cooperation are foundational for ongoing and reciprocal development,” Abiy indicated on his social media page. 

 The premier has also extended gratitude to the president of Tanzania Samia Suluhu for the warm welcome to Tanzania during the nation’s time of mourning.
 
“On behalf of Ethiopia, I express my condolences on the passing of Former President Ali Hassan Mwinyi,” Abiy posted on his social media.
