Ethiopia, Rwanda Ink Agreement Covering Five Areas  

Addis Ababa February 13/2024 (ENA) The Third Joint Ministerial Commission meeting of Ethiopia and Rwanda concluded today by signing an agreement in five areas.

The areas covered in the agreement are trade, sport, risk reduction and management, investment as well as political consultation. 

Foreign Affairs Minister Taye Atske Selassie underscored on the occasion the critical need for effective implementation of the agreement.

 

“Ethiopia is committed to regular review of the implementation status of the agreement and decisions made at the JMC as critical elements in widening and deepening of relations through concrete projects and additional areas of collaboration,” he added. 

 

Rwanda Foreign Minister, Vincent Biruta said the meeting that assessed the implementation of the cooperation agreements signed in 2017 and identified the strategic interest of cooperation for both countries marks a significant milestone for the bilateral relations and cooperation.

The minster also called for effective implementation of the agreement.
