Minister of Women & Social Affairs Holds Discussion with UN Women Ethiopia Country Representative

Addis Ababa, November 9/2023 (ENA) Minister of Women and Social Affairs Ergogie Tesfaye, held discussion with UN Women Ethiopia Country Representative, Cecile Mukarubuga on various issues of Women.

The discussion focused on crucial topics that deal with gender equality and women’s empowerment including the establishment of child-care facilitates.

They also discussed on building women’s resilience in conflict and drought affected regions  as well as institutional system building and coordination, according to the Ministry  of Women and Social Affairs.

Joint mobilization of resources and collaboration on the upcoming 16 Days of Activism on Gender-Based Violence were also part of the discussion.  

The partnership between the ministry and UN Women aims to create a more inclusive society where women and girls thrive.
