Ethiopia and Pakistan Express their desire to Elevate Longstanding Relations  

Addis Ababa, November 8/2023 (ENA): The Addis Ababa State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, received and held discussions with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ethiopia, Mian Atif Sharif, at his office today.

The discussion focused on various ways of elevating the long-standing relations between the two countries, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

Ambassador Mesganu expressed the need to further consolidate the existing bilateral relations on trade, investment, aviation, and cultural and technical assistance.

 

He further elaborated on the conducive investment climate in Ethiopia and called for more Pakistani investment.

Ambassador Mian Atif, on his part, expressed the robust bilateral relations between Pakistan and Ethiopia and added the Pakistani government’s desire to enhance the existing relations in bilateral and multilateral forums.

He went on to appreciate the huge investment potential that Ethiopia has in the agriculture, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and construction sectors and stated that there is a huge opportunity for Pakistani investors.
