Global Startup Awards Africa Submit 2023 Kicks Off in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, October 23/2023 2023 (ENA): The two-day Global Startup Africa Summit 2023 kicked off at the Science Museum in Addis Ababa today. 

The summit will focus conversation on building innovative nations and innovation based-economies through a lens of youth capabilities and cross-border partnerships. 

Addressing the opening of the summit, Minister of Labor and Skills Muferiat Kamil said Africa is the home of enormous and untapped talents. 

The Africa startup awards serves as a platform to showcase best startup experiences and learn each other, she pointed out. 

Similarly, Minister of Innovation and Technology Belete Molla said the government of Ethiopia acknowledges that startup initiatives are instrumental for the current and future development of the country. 

The Minister affirmed the commitment of the government to collaborate with all stakeholders to properly implement startup initiatives. 

The summit is an opportunity for investors, innovators and donors to be directly involved in Africa's growing innovation landscape, it was indicted.
