INSA Says It Foils 96 Percent of Cyber Attacks

Addis Ababa, October 11/2023(ENA)-The Information Network Security Administration (INSA) said it has foiled 96 percent of cyber attacks on Ethiopia in the previous Ethiopian fiscal year

Briefing journalists today in connection with the 4th National Cyber Security Month, INSA Director General Solomon Soka said cyber attacks on citizens, institutions and key infrastructure are increasing as technology users are rising.


 

By so doing, INSA saved 22.5 billion Birr, the general director said.  

The cyber security month will be held from 12 October to November 10, 2023, he said.

This year's theme is "Resilience in Cyber Capability for National Sovereignty." 

The aim of the event is to increase public cyber security awareness and prevent attacks on institutions and infrastructure, Solomon added.

The opening ceremony to be  held on 15 October at the Commercial Bank Ethiopia  Headquarters will showcase exhibition of cyber security products and services.
