President Appreciates UN Women for its Efforts Being Done to Empower Ethiopian Women

Addis Ababa, September 21/2023(ENA) President Sahle-Work Zewde received the newly appointed UN Women Ethiopia Country Office Representative, Cecile Mukarubuga, according to Office of the President. 

The president on the occasion, said there is still a lot to be done and expressed hope that UN Women will redouble its efforts moving forward.

She also thanked the agency for what is being done to empower Ethiopian women, fight any forms of violence, and support initiatives. 

President Sahle-Work recalled her strong relationship with UN Women when she was with the UN.
