Addis Ababa University Gets Chancellor

Addis Ababa August 31/2023(ENA):- Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has appointed Education Minister Professor Birhanu Nega as Chancellor of the Addis Ababa University. 

In addition to the chancellor, new university board members have been appointed; and the board will next appoint the president and deputy president of AAU, it was learned.  

Recall that the Addis Ababa University (AAU) was recently granted autonomy by the Council of Ministers, becoming the first autonomous university in the country.
