Prime Minister Abiy Confers with Leaders of Italy, Somalia

Addis Ababa April 15/2023 (ENA) Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held discussion with his counterpart, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

Prime Minister Abiy’s discussion with the leaders of the two countries was aimed at strengthening the tripartite cooperation.

 

The leaders also discussed ways of strengthening their cooperation on infrastructure and economic issues.

 

Abiy posted on his Facebook that: “Our trilateral discussion today with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President Hassan Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was fruitful outcome with commitments to strengthened partnerships and investments in infrastructure development as well as sector specific Italian private sector investments in both Ethiopia and Somalia.”

 

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud arrived in Addis Ababa yesterday for an official working visit, it was indicated.
